Welcome to Historic Boggy Creek Farm
Take a step back in time & walk the grounds of Austin's oldest modern-day urban farm. Using regenerative, no-till, sustainable practices to grow vegetables and fruits, we are nurturing the planet and you!
~~~
Republic of TX President Sam Houston attended a wedding supper in the historic farmhouse in 1841!
~~~
The Market offers a great variety of vegetables year-round, grown in fields just steps away, for the freshest farm to table experience! Also available are great selections of meats, dairy, breads & more, all grown and produced locally.

LOCAL TEXAS FARM PARTNERS: Farming presents many challenges. In order to maintain a robust variety of produce folks have come to expect, we partner with other local farms from time to time (produce not grown on-site is labeled indicating the producer). These farm partners contribute to our small urban farm's sustainability during times of extreme weather conditions, as well as during seasonal transitions. Thank you for your support and understanding!

In Central Texas, most goat ranchers stop milking their goats in the late fall. This allows the does (female goats) to "dry off" and build up their nutrient reserves as they approach the final stages of pregnancy and prepare for kidding (giving birth). This dry period, which is usually about two months, gives the mama goats time to rest and regain condition before they start nursing their kids. Cheese production typically resumes in early Spring.
